Wireless and mobile communication, sensor networks and Internet of Things (IoT) would form the backbone to create pervasive and ubiquitous environments that would have profound influence on the society and thus are important to the society. The wireless technologies such as IEEE standards, and Internet of Things (IoT) would encompass a wide range of domains such as hardware devices, routing algorithms, integration of heterogeneous network elements, machine learning techniques, and blockchain technology, etc.
The proposed self-finance course will enable the participants to learn about the wireless networks and IoT protocols, machine learning techniques and blockchain. In hand on sessions the participants will be involved in application development based on the technology explained in the lecture sessions.
Machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence (AI) and computer science that focuses on using data and algorithms to imitate how humans learn and gradually improve their accuracy. Machine learning is an essential skill for any aspiring data analyst, data scientist, and those who wish to transform a massive amount of raw data into trends and predictions. Many of today's leading companies, such as Facebook, Google, and Uber, make machine learning a central part of their operations. As a result, machine learning has become a significant competitive differentiator for many companies. In addition, the Internet of Things generates massive data from millions of connected devices. Machine learning algorithms learn patterns from past data to predict future behavior and events. Machine Learning can eliminate human errors and enable big data to generate real-time insights and allow Internet of Things devices to reach their full potential.
Blockchain stores data in a decentralized manner that is secure and immutable. It has various applications such as storage and transfer of cryptocurrencies, asset tracking, performing transactions, e-voting, and many more. Nowadays, Blockchain is helpful in IoT and machine learning also. Machine learning models use the data stored in the Blockchain network for prediction and analysis. IoT devices integrate with Blockchain to make decentralized intelligent devices, smart homes, intelligent health care systems, etc. The off-chain payment systems are overgrowing to make the fast payment, and there is no mining delay.
